DIY Screenprinting- 5/19

by Danielle Genzel

Screenprinting is an excellent way to transfer your own designs onto any material flat including Paper, Clothing, and tote bags.  This easy do it yourself process does not require an exposure unit to transfer an image, but rather uses stencils cut out of contact paper to apply your images through a screen.  In this class, you will hone the basic concept of screenprinting, and be able to duplicate the process using supplies that can be found at any art supply store.  This method is great for bold images, repeated patterns, minimalist designs, and two color prints. Primary color inks will be provided allowing you to mix your desired colors.  A screen will be provided to borrow for the class, as well as a tote bag and some paper to print on. Please come with a design or repeat pattern in mind and you are welcome to bring your own flat materials such as fabrics, clothing, bags, and paper to print on as well!

This workshop will be on Sunday May 19th from 1:30-4pm at the LPP Workshop (855 Valencia Street). Light snacks and drinks will be provided. Limited to 6 students.

All workshops include 20% discount in the LPP shop the day of their workshop.

If you need to cancel a class then it must be done 72 hours prior.  We only give class/store credit.  This is non-negotiable. Currently classes are 21+.
