LPP After School Arts Program: Session 1- Thursdays (9-13yr)

by LPP After School Arts Program

Little Paper Planes has been rooted in the arts from day one back in 2004.  We have been supporting adults in their art and design practice in a variety of ways and are very excited to start offering classes to children!  Little Paper Planes is an artist run shop and we love our community. We hope for this to be a new way to share our love of art with our neighbors, both big and small.

Meet Kelly and Dana the teachers and read more about our program!

This session: 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15

Our mission is to expose our young artists to a diverse group of Contemporary artists and designers working today so they can see making art has endless possibilities and can look and function in unexpected ways.  We want to show them various materials to experiment with as well as creating their own tangible vision while learning to critique art.  We will focus on the building blocks of making art: line, shape, color, value, texture, space and form.  They will be able to use this foundation to create their own works of art!

During the sessions we will work in different mediums: painting, paper, clay, sculpture, fabric, dye, printing, and found materials.  With these materials each student will have 4 completed projects on display on the final exhibition day.

Thursdays are for ages 9-13
