LPP+ Residency Publication: Women Artists/ Bay Area by Tricia Gilbride & Caroline Knowles
LPP+ publications act as a tangible extension of the residency program. Tricia Gilbride and Caroline Knowles of Women/Artists were our LPP + Resident in August 2016.
"During our week in the Bay Area, we toured the studios of painters Anna Valdez and Meghan Jean in Oakland, and Sarah Thibault in the Minnesota Street Project. With all women making the move from part-time work and ’day jobs’ to working as full-time artists, we focused on this transition along with their daily routines, kepping scheldules, looking for inspiration in the Bay Area landscape." -Tricia Gilbride & Caroline Knowles
The book measures 8.5" x 5.5" and is printed on 90lb bond paper with newsprint inserts, in a numbered edition of 20. This publication is printed and bound at the LPP shop in San Francisco, CA.
W/A originated as a Tumblr run by Caroline and Tricia. W/A highlights both contemporary and historical female artists of all mediums, movements and genres.
