Anne Vieux Lossy Print 3

by Anne Vieux

Little Paper Planes is pleased to introduce our April 2016 artist, Anne Vieux and to offer three exclusive prints of her work.  Fields of color are created from a layered process, from physical - digital - physical. These works were created by directing light, bending and scanning reflective papers over her scanner. Scanned, and digitally manipulated, zoomed in, layered, and distorted - the works read painterly. Slips of scale and texture are given attention as images are translating between media. The illusion of depth created by light and attention of the surface, visually vibrate between the flat and dimensional.

Anne Vieux makes work that conflates notions of the handmade and the digital, using hands-on processes of manipulation to create photographic effects, and then filtering those photographs back into the media of books and painting.Even though the images are still, they’re bright and dizzying with the implication of possible movement.

These prints are 8.5 x 11" and 17 x 22" and are offered individually. They are printed with Epson Ultra Chrome archival inks on Velvet Fine Art paper. The sizes reflect actual paper size, not image size. The second image is a detail shot. Each print is hand numbered, in an edition of 50, along with Anne’s signature on the back of each print. Each print also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity printed on the back as well. This print is exclusive to Little Paper Planes.
