Our garments are inspired by women artists.
Joan Jonas is an American visual artist and a pioneer of video and performance art who was one of the most important female artists to emerge in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Jonas’ projects and experiments provided the foundation on which much video performance art would be based. Her influences also extended to conceptual art, theater, performance art and other visual media. She lives and works in New York and Nova Scotia, Canada.
This shift is the perfect easy dress for the days when you don’t want to worry about anything. Wear it with sandals in the summer or layer it over a turtleneck and leggings for a mod fall look. The back features two overlapping curved panels that float slightly as you move. Deep armholes make for easy layering. The single curved pocket provides just a touch of asymmetry.
Available in two colorways of our Japanese yarn-dyed cotton twill, the fabric is wonderfully airy and drapes so beautifully.
Measurements (taken flat; one size fits most):
-armhole drop: 12"
-length (shoulder to hem): 35"
