Shell Study: Print 8
A still life (plural still lifes) is a work of art depicting mostly inanimate subject matter, typically commonplace objects which may be either natural (food, flowers, plants, rocks, or shells) or man-made (drinking glasses, books, vases, jewelry, coins, pipes, and so on). via here.
I have had a huge interest in Still Lifes for awhile now. This Shell Series is part of my investigation around modes of display, beauty, and meaning within our everyday objects we collect and surround ourselves with. These shells were found at Edisto Beach in South Carolina. I am interested specifically with the inherent history each shell contains and that I will never be privy to the narratives it carries.
The prints are offered in two sizes:
8.5 x 11" and 13 x 19"
They are printed with Epson Ultra Chrome archival inks on Hahnemuhle German etching paper. The sizes reflect actual paper size, not image size. The orientation of this print is landscape. (Second image is a detail shot) Please note a printed image can vary in color than what you see on your computer monitor.
Each print is hand numbered and signed, in an edition of 50. Each print also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity printed on the back. This print is exclusive to Little Paper Planes.
