Art School Girl has released this monthly series of prints featuring 12 different artists and their art.
Nako Okubo spent much of her early education hand drawing "typefaces" instead of listening to her teachers. Not surprisingly, she now gets paid to make things look good for a huge spectrum of clients from fortune 500 companies to neighborhood nonprofits. The one-time go-go dancer feels inspired by powerlines, fluorescents, registration marks and—you might have guessed—kids' handwriting. Her personal work can be seen in random locations/situations in and around Chicago.
Each print is Letterpress on heavyweight paper made from 100% recovered cotton.
These special edition artist prints are limited to 125 pieces each and are hand signed and numbered.
