Skyward
The span of the sky into the outer banks of space is a source of immeasurable inspiration. It is a natural wonder that is expansive, mysterious, and breath-taking, and amazingly always just a turn of the head upwards. It's available to everyone at anytime, yet strikingly different from moment to moment and place to place. Auroras, galaxies, sunsets and sunrises, emit some of the most beautiful and natural colors. Celestial objects are not only aesthetically stimulating , but can inspire us to observe our place in the vast universe and what exactly that means.

It is not surprising to find that many artists explore this subject matter--LPP artists included! Fredrik Akum's, Print 1, and Shelby DiMarco's, Print 1, both show drastically different representations of the sun and moon through two different artistic mediums. Print 4, by Natalie Rognsy, and The Cosmic Mantra Print by Ana Moneiel demonstrate the magnitude of colors in the sky and cosmos. The Big Bang print, by Christoper David Ryan shows time and space while cataloguing the "big bang." Strange Loop Print, by Brandi Strickland and The Stars Against Me Tonight Print by Dan-ah Kim play with stars and how we connect them. Atmosphere print and Sleepy Under the Moon Print by Brainstorm Print & Design are both more simplistic representations of large-scale phenomena such as the atmosphere and moon. Computer Screen (Some kind of reality) by Coral Silverman shows how outer space is used in modern design. Finally, The Howl Shirt is an example of how the moon and other celestial objects find their way into classic apparel.
