Sparkle Time and Sunshine
Every year when July rolls around here in the States I look forward to the magic of fireworks, backyard gatherings and swimming pool frolics in the sun. Fireworks are miraculous explosions of light and color. We've been in awe of them since vintage times and have gathered together outside for ages to celebrate the light (and to grill-out).

This Lookbook features artwork and products that have the firework feel of light radiating. Brandi Strickland's Alchemy Print captures the magic of the human ability to change one substance into another, like gunpowder into paintings in the sky. We feel the substantiality of light in Hilary Pecis' Print, Ana Montiel's Quartz Print, Cole Gerst's In the Shadow Print and Rachel Wolfe's Burst Photo. Daniel Entonado's Mufuki Zine brings fireworks and light into an alternate plane. Brendan Monroe, Yellena James (Twine Print) and Brent Wadden's work carry the light through color, organic shapes and repeated lines. Michelle Blade's Shoot the Moon Print, Raeburn Ink's Macro Cosmic Shirt, Shannon Rankin's Into the Ether Print and Shen Plum's Tiny Universe Necklace display the natural fireworks of the universe.
And of course we have to include some nods to good places to enjoy the July 4th festivities like from the NY rooftops in Josh Cochran's The City (Tribeca) Print or backyard BBQs like Screech Owl Design's Cookout card, Pinecone & Chickadee's Robot shirt and Small Screen Design's Spatula Tote.
Enjoy the festivities of summer and the eye-candy in the sky!
