Works on LPP
Siobhan McBride was born in Seoul and grew up in Queens, NY. She received her MFA in painting from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005. Her paintings combine disparate yet familiar fragments into spaces that are still, anxious, and temperamental. Her work aims to create watchful worlds with a sense of incongruity and common magic. Siobhan has been awarded residencies with the Vermont Studio Center, Jentel, Yaddo, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s Workspace Program, and is currently a fellow with the Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program. Her first solo exhibition Long Letter is currently being shown at the Roswell Museum and Art Center in Roswell, NM.
