Kalup Linzy
Kalup Linzy (b. 1977) is an American video and performance artist who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. He received a BFA in 2000 and an MFA in 2003, both from the University of South Florida in Tampa. He also attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. He has received awards from the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation, the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, Creative Capitol Foundation, Jerome Foundation and the Harpo Foundation. His work has been shown at P.S. 1, New York; Taxter & Spengermann, New York; the Whitney Museum, New York; Studio Museum in Harlem; the Moscow Biennale of Contemporary and Prospect.1 New Orleans. His work is included in the public collections of the Museum of Modern Art, Studio Museum in Harlem, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
