Leanne Eisen is a Toronto based artist whose recent photographic work explores and exploits the limitations of digital media, specifically the scanner, in order to create intentional glitches. The series Scan began as a creative diversion for the artist, but soon became a full-on fixation. Each exposure represents a choreographed movement, a moment in time captured on a two- dimensional surface. She has worked her way through a collection of scannable curios, from paper grids and greyscales to lights and reflective materials.
