Justin Nelson was born in 1985 in Astoria, Oregon to a military father and a stay-at-home mother.
He grew up spending time in the woods and on lakes with his father and his brother. These experiences have heavily influenced his current body of work in which he explores the connection humans share with the natural world around them.
He currently lives and works in Tampa, FL
