Celine Hudreaux

In the series Petits désastres (Small Disasters) French artist Céline Hudréaux brings etchings in a naive looking style, that depict the fate of a world ravaged by natural catastrophes. In this universe, people and marvelous creatures lead a fragile and volatile life on the verge of disappearance. Do not expect apocalyptical violence, but fragile and intimate understatements with sometimes a razor sharp edge.

Céline Hudréaux (°1979, Marseille, France) currently lives and works in Ghent, Belgium. She studied fine art at la Villa Arson in Nice (France) and at Sint-Lucas Beeldende Kunst in Ghent (Belgium), where she obtained her master degree. Her work was shown in Belgium, France, Canada and Italy.
