Despite all the suburban houses in Leah Giberson's mixed media paintings, she was actually raised by artists deep in the woods of NH and currently lives and works in a small, but sunny 3rd floor apartment.

By simplifying the seemingly ordinary scenes in her paintings, she allows the encroaching shadows and awkward scale or placement that already exist to tell a more poignant story.
