The inspiration for the name of our company Screech Owl Design came from a family of screech owls that live in the trees behind our family cottage. As the imagery in our cards and the name of our company are inspired by nature, we have strived to make our product as sustainable as possible. Our commitment to the environment is reflected in our use of high quality post-consumer recycled papers. Screech Owl Design brings a line of playful, personal, and distinctive cards to life. Jacqueline and George Schmidt, a husband and wife team, founded Screech Owl Design in 2006. They combine their interest in illustration, graphic design, and fine arts in everything they make. Making things is what they do. Both Jacqueline and George have exhibited their artwork in galleries in New York City, Chicago, Michigan, San Miguel Allende, Mexico, and in Amsterdam, Holland.
